Jackets to Play Wednesday, Thursday at ACC Tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – No. 2-seed Georgia Tech baseball will begin play in the 2021 ACC Championship on Wednesday, May 26 at 7 p.m., the conference announced on Sunday.

The winner of the ACC Coastal Division, The Yellow Jackets (28-21, 21-15 ACC) enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed and the top seed in Pool B, which features No. 7-seed Louisville and No. 11-seed Clemson.

Georgia Tech will first play on Wednesday against Clemson at 7 p.m., before concluding pool play on Thursday, May 27 against Louisville at 3 p.m.

The entirety of the ACC Championship’s pool play will be broadcast on the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks and ACC Network Extra, with the semifinals broadcast on ACC Network and the championship game broadcast on ESPN2. All of Georgia Tech’s games will also air on WREK 91.1 FM.

Championship Notes:

  • Georgia Tech is back-to-back ACC Coastal Division Champions;
  • Georgia Tech has won six ACC regular season championships and three ACC divisional championships since joining the league in 1985;
  • Only one ACC team has more regular season and division championships than Georgia Tech’s six since 2000 (Florida State, 11);
  • Georgia Tech is 81-62 (.566) all-time in the ACC Tournament – 72-59 (550) in preliminary/pool play rounds and 9-4 (.692) in championship games;
  • Georgia Tech has won nine ACC Tournament Titles and five under head coach Danny Hall (2000, 2003, 2005, 2012, 2014).
