Georgia Tech vs. Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves lead the exhibition series with Georgia Tech, 11-0-1, in a series that dates to 1977. The closest the Yellow Jackets have come to defeating the Braves was four years ago in a rain- and travel-shortened four-inning game that ended with a final score of 3-3.

Since the 1993 season, the Jackets and Braves have squared off every other year, with Atlanta facing the Georgia Bulldogs in off-years.

The Yellow Jackets have been held scoreless just one time during that span, in a 12-0 win by the Braves two years ago.

Following Wednesday’s game, the Yellow Jackets will return to Atlanta for a three-game series against Rutgers beginning Friday at 4 p.m. The Jackets and Scarlet Knights will square off at 1 p.m. Saturday before concluding the series Sunday at 12 noon (NOTE: This is a change from previously published schedules due to the men’s basketball game that afternoon)
