• Winners of seven of its last eight, Georgia Tech baseball looks to stay hot when it enters Knoxville, Tenn. for its 34th NCAA Regional appearance on June 3-5.
• Georgia Tech will join top-ranked Tennessee, Campbell and Alabama State in Knoxville for the first round.
• Georgia Tech will head to Lindsey Nelson Stadium in the postseason for the second time ever, previously playing California and Tennessee in 1995.
• All-time against the field, Georgia Tech holds a 45-33 advantage against Tennessee, playing them last in 2006; Georgia Tech holds a 4-0 advantage over Campbell, last playing in 2003; and Georgia Tech holds a 1-0 advantage over Alabama State, playing them in 2008.
• The Jackets have been unstoppable now fully healthy as one of the nation’s top offenses, currently ranking No. 4 overall with 671 hits on the year and No. 2 in average (.324).
• Tech also ranks fourth in scoring (9.3), fifth in slugging (.552) and runs (521), eighth in home runs (110) and ninth in on-base percentage (.417).
• Four of the final five weeks of the regular season, Tech had either a National Player of the Week and/or the ACC Player of the Week (Kevin Parada, twice, Tim Borden II and Andrew Jenkins).
• Parada broke the Georgia Tech single-season home run record to close the season, now sitting at 26 total, which ranks sixth nationally.
• He also ranks third in RBI nationally (85), fifth in total bases (174) and runs (74).
• Also atop the national rankings is Chandler Simpson, who leads the country with a .418 batting average, and Jenkins, who is ninth with 91 hits on the year.
• Simpson is also the 21st toughest-to-strikeout hitter in the nation, averaging 13.1 at-bats per strikeout.
• Head coach Danny Hall needs just two wins to become the NCAA’s winningest active baseball coach, currently sitting at 1,346 career wins.
