TOP STORYLINES

• Closing an eight-game homestand, Georgia Tech baseball plays host in another key Coastal Division matchup against No. 2/3 Miami (Fla.) on April 29-May 1.

• The Yellow Jackets trail in the all-time series 42-65-2 and were unable to take last year’s series on the road in the Sunday rubber game.

• Georgia Tech has won two of its last three ACC series, defeating then-No. 13 Florida State and North Carolina, while dropped two of three to Duke in a slugfest.

• The Jackets have been unstoppable now fully healthy as one of the nation’s top offenses, currently ranking No. 2 overall with 502 hits on the year.

• Tech also ranks second in average (.324), third in runs (406) and home runs (82), fifth in sluggin (.552), 12th in on-base percentage (.420) and 17th in walks (218).

• Two of the last three weeks, Georgia Tech has had both a National Player of the Week and the ACC Player fo the Week (Kevin Parada and Tim Borden II).

• Parada currently leads or co-leads the nation in home runs (210 and total bases (144), while ranking second in RBI (71), fourth in runs (57), fifth in hits (70), and 10th in slugging (.791).

• Also red-hot at the plate are Chandler Simpson (.433), Andrew Jenkins (.397), Tres Gonzalez (.327), Stephen Reid (.320), and Tim Borden II (.319).

• Hitting .296 on the year, Drew Compton is coming off a season-best week, hitting three home runs for seven RBI.

• Veteran RHP John Medich was moved to Friday night in Tech’s new-look weekend rotation after going a career-long 5.1 innings, allowing just two runs on five hits in his first weekend start at Tech.
