TOP STORYLINES
• Georgia Tech baseball looks to finish the season strong after a 2-0 stint in Ohio when it travels to Pitt on May 19-21 to conclude the regular season.
• Pitt owns the all-time series 10-11 where both teams have been noticeably better on their home fields (8-4 for Tech, 6-2 for Pitt).
• Georgia Tech’s last three ACC series wins have come against then-No. 13 Florida State, North Carolina and then-No. 3 Miami.
• Georgia Tech’s seasonal resume has begun to take shape with just five games remaining in the regular season.
• Georgia Tech currently sports the second-toughest strength of schedule in the country (.586) with its opponents’ record sitting at a whopping 1493-971. The next closest ACC teams in the SOS ranking are Clemson (fifth), Florida State (sixth), and North Carolina (10th).
• In the RPI, a key metric for determining postseason seeding and overall performance, Georgia Tech currently sits 25th.
• Only one team in the country has more wins against top-50 RPI teams than Georgia Tech’s 15 — No. 1 Tennessee (17). The next two closest teams are No. 10 Louisville and No. 14 Clemson (14).
• Inside the top-25 RPI, Georgia Tech has played an impressive 26 opponents, while just 16 of Tennessee’s are currently ranked 25 or better.

• He also ranks third in RBI nationally (77), second in total bases (161), 10th in runs (65), 19th in slugging (.732) and 22nd in hits (78).
• Also red-hot at the plate are Chandler Simpson (.443), Andrew Jenkins (.385), Tres Gonzalez (.328), Stephen Reid (.326) and Tim Borden II (.310).
• Veteran RHP John Medich was moved to Friday night in Tech’s new-look weekend rotation and has looked terrific. In six starts on the year, Medich holds an fine 4.44 ERA.
