@GT_WTEN Set to Begin ACC Tournament Play

CARY, N.C. – The Georgia Tech women’s tennis squad will open postseason play on Friday when they face Notre Dame in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament in Cary, N.C.

“We are excited about starting play in the ACC Tournament tomorrow,” head coach Rodney Harmon said. “Our conference has so many great teams, so every match will be a battle.”

The Jackets are the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will face No. 11 seed Notre Dame at 9 a.m. on Friday. Notre Dame defeated Clemson, the No. 6 seed, by a score of 4-1 on Thursday morning.

The Jackets will be led by Johnnise Renaud and Paige Hourigan, who earned All-ACC honors on Thursday. Renaud is ranked No. 42 in the ITA singles rankings and was named First Team All-ACC, while Hourigan earned Third Team All-ACC honors and is ranked No. 41 nationally.
