THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s tennis head coach Rodney Harmon announced the signing of junior Taylor Goetz and freshman Rishitha Basireddy Friday.
Goetz, a 5-5 junior from Greenlawn, N.Y., arrives on The Flats after spending her sophomore season at South Carolina. Last season, she collected eight singles victories and four in doubles action including clinching victories for the Gamecocks against No. 21 Clemson and Ole Miss. Goetz was named to the 2025-26 SEC First Year Honor Roll. As a freshman at Pepperdine, she secured nine doubles wins and eight in singles, including ending fall 2024 on a four-match winning streak. She helped the Waves clinch the doubles point in the ITA Kickoff Weekend against Arizona.
Prior to her collegiate career, Goetz was the No. 8 player in the class of 2024 and the top-ranked player in the USTA’s 16S rankings. She won the singles title at the USTA 16S Winter Nationals as well as the USTA 16S Hard Courts Doubles title. She won three ITF junior singles championships and two in doubles.
Basireddy, a freshman from Telangana, India, joins the Jackets after an impressive amateur career. She has won seven ITF junior titles and four doubles, being ranked as high as No. 156. In May 2026, she won her second-straight AITA women’s title, wining all of her matches in straight sets. As of July 13, she was ranked No. 10 in the AITA Girls U-18 – where she has spent 146 weeks in the top 10 – and No. 65 in the AITA Women Singles rankings.
The duo will add to a roster that features senior Given Roach, juniors Olivia Carneiro and Taly Licht, as well as sophomores Sabritt Dozier, Eleni Karantali and Seri Nayuki.
Harmon is entering his 15th season at the helm of Georgia Tech women’s tennis.
