NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Georgia Tech track & field team wrapped up their third meet of 2016 on Saturday, receiving several strong performances at Vanderbilt.

“This was a very good day for the men’s team,” said head men’s coach Grover Hinsdale. “We had many guys perform personal bests. However, four performances stood out to me today. Jeremy Greenwald and Chris Burnett both had great performances in the mile. Spencer Allen (60m hurdles) and Andres Littig (800m) performed extremely well. It was a good team effort today, and I am very pleased with our effort and results.”

Greenwald and Burnett both finished in the top 10 in the mile, with Greenwald finishing third and Burnett finishing ninth. Allen continues to be solid in the 60 m hurdles, finishing third with a personal-best time of 7.89. Littig finished third in the 800m with a time of 1:50.13.

On the women’s side, Kenya Collins had a personal-best time of 8.32, which resulted in a fourth-place finish. Ksenia Novikova and Domonique Hall finished ninth in the pole vault and 400m, respectively. Both recorded personal bests.

“We had an outstanding second day to wrap up a big weekend for the women,” head women’s coach Alan Drosky said. “Kenya’s personal best in the 60m hurdles was a huge effort. Across the board, the women competed very well and we’re seeing improvements in every event area.”
