Georgia Tech - Virginia Tech Baseball Rained Out on Friday

April 7, 2006

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Friday’s baseball game between ninth-ranked Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech was halted due to inclement weather.

The Yellow Jackets and Hokies will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m. The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

Two pitches were thrown to the leadoff batter on Friday before the game was stopped due to lightning in the area. Heavy rain forced the game to be postponed to Saturday.
