Georgia Tech Set For 29 Baseball Games On Television, ESPN3

Feb. 7, 2013

THE FLATS – At least 29 Georgia Tech baseball games will broadcast this year on television or online via ESPN3 as part of a record-setting baseball broadcast package from the Atlantic Coast Conference. In all, no less than 105 ACC baseball games will have broadcast coverage in 2013.

Tech, ranked as high as 12th in preseason Top 25 polls, has 27 games as part of the ACC’s package, plus one nationally-televised game on the Big Ten Network at Ohio State and one on Fox Sports South/SportsSouth versus Georgia in the Kauffman Tire Spring Classic for Kids at Turner Field.

“The ACC has always done a very good job in its exposure for college baseball,” said head coach Danny Hall. “This is an incredible television package for us, both regionally and nationally across a variety of platforms, and we’re excited for that coverage for our program.”

The reigning ACC Champion Yellow Jackets had a school-record 23 television/ESPN3 appearances during the regular season last year, and will surpass that total in 2013.

Tech’s 29 scheduled broadcast appearances are the most in league currently, ahead of Florida State (28), NC State (23) and North Carolina (18).

In addition, all Tech home games that are not televised will be video streamed live at RamblinWreck.com. Please note that times are television are subject to change, and more games be added as the season progresses.

All 56 games of the regular season can also be heard on 91.1 WREK in Atlanta, the nation’s only 100,000-watt, HD college station.

Tech opens the 2013 season on February 15 versus Akron at 4 p.m. at Russ Chandler Stadium, with former Jacket Mark Teixeira throwing the ceremonial first pitch. For ticket information, call 1-888-TECH-TIX or visit RamblinWreck.com/tickets.
