Georgia Tech #ProJackets Baseball Report

THE FLATS — The 2018 baseball season is halfway through, yet a number of #ProJackets are continuing to heat up as the month of July continues.

Charlie Blackmon, who became a three-time all-star earlier this week, is back to his all-star form as he is hitting .355 with three home runs, six RBIs and six runs scored over his last seven games.

Derek Dietrich has totaled 91 hits already in 2018, which is only 10 shy of his career high of 101 which he set last season, while catcher Matt Wieters returned to the lineup after a stint on the DL to go 1-for-4 on Monday night versus Pittsburgh.

On the mound, Buck Farmer continues to pitch well out of the bullpen for the Detroit Tigers, as the right-handed pitcher is 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA and nine strikeouts over his last 15 appearances.

#ProJacket Deck McGuire‘s year of going up and down from the majors to Triple-A continued last week, as he allowed just one hit and struck out six over 3.0 scoreless for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on July 7 before being reassigned to the minors.

Joey Bart is off to a great start to his #ProJackets career for the San Francisco Giants organization, as he is hitting .283 with four home runs, a triple, two doubles and 12 RBIs in just 11 games.

Since having his contract purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays on July 4, pitcher Brandon Cumpton is 0-0 with one save over two games for the Buffalo Bisons (Triple-A), while Matthew Gorst has not missed a beat since moving up to the Double-A team for the Boston Red Sox, as he is 0-0 with one save over 9.0 innings of work for the Portland Sea Dogs.

Below is a complete list of Tech #ProJackets playing professionally this season.
