? With 9 receptions today, Jonathan Smith established a new Georgia Tech season record. He now has 75 receptions on the season, breaking the record of 71 set by Kerry Watkins in 2002.

? With 108 yards receiving today, Smith raised his season total to 1,124, another Tech season record. The previous record was 1,105 yards by Kelly Campbell in 1999

? Smith recorded his sixth 100-yard receiving game of the season, tying the season record (Harvey Middleton, 1997) and the seventh of his career.

? Smith is now tied for second in Georgia Tech school history with 171 career receptions with Kerry Watkins (1999-02). Additionally, Smith ranks fourth for Tech career receiving yards with 2,224 – 67 behind Harvey Middleton (1994-97) with 2,291. Smith caught one touchdown versus Georgia and ranks ninth for career TD receptions with 12 – one behind Middleton, Jimmy Robinson (1970-72) and Greg Lester (1987-91).

? A.J. Suggs saw his first action of the 2003 season. Before he entered the game on Tech’s final possession of the first half, Reggie Ball had taken every snap this season – a total of 785 offensive plays.

? With 4 tackles today, James Butler set the Tech season record for tackles by a defensive back. Butler now has 116. The previous record was 114 by Cleve Pounds in 1984.
