Georgia Tech Hosts No. 5 Miami This Weekend

Georgia Tech (16-11, 2-4 ACC) hosts 5th-ranked Miami (22-5) this weekend in a three-game series at Russ Chandler Stadium beginning Friday at 7 p.m. and continuing Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. eacTuesday The Jackets are coming off a 20-5 win over No. 13 Auburn Tuesday evening and have won seven of its last nine games.

Following the series against Miami, Georgia Tech will visit Georgia State on Tuesday before hosting North Carolina for a three-game ACC series next weekend.

GAME COVERAGE: Live statistics will be available on the internet at www.ramblinwreck.com. Radio coverage can be found on WREK-Radio (91.1 FM in Atlanta) and on the internet at www.wrek.org. NOTE: Saturday’s game was originially scheduled for 7 p.m. and was to be televised on Fox Sports Net South. The game has been moved to 1 p.m. and will not be telvised. Tech’s Apr. 9 game against North Carolina will now be televised by Fox Sports Net South.

Four Yellow Jackets are hitting at least .400 in the span, led by sophomore Micah Owings (.524 avg., 1.095 slg%, 7 HR, 21 RBI). Second baseman Eric Patterson (.476), left fielder Steven Blackwood (.444), and center fielder Brandon Boggs (.444) are all hitting over .400 in the last nine games.
