THE FLATSPitcher/hitter Jackson Finley and left fielder Angelo Dispigna homered in back-to-back innings to power No. 22 Georgia Tech baseball past Tennessee Tech, 11-7, on Sunday afternoon at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium, completing and sweep and improving to 7-0 on the season.

The Yellow Jackets (7-0) put together a little bit of everything at the plate, including sacrifice flies, bunt singles and the long ball to score its 11 runs on 15 hits. Jack Rubenstein was a blistering 5-for-5 on the day, while Finley finished 3-for-5 and Jake DeLeo, Dispigna and Nico Senese finished with two hits apiece. DeLeo drove in three runs on his two.

On the mound, Finley started and went 4.0 innings without allowing an earned run, but three infield errors allowed five unearned runs to cross to create Tech’s deficit. LHP Josiah Siegel (1-0) came in and earned his first decision win, surrendering just two hits in his 1.2 innings.

RHP Ben King was once again impressive, holding the lead with 1.1 innings of no-hit, two-strikeout work, before turning it over to LHP Noah Samol and RHP Jackson Vaughan to close out the game.

The Golden Eagles (2-5) were led by Austin Turner, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI. RHP Colt Taylor (0-1) received the loss, allowing three runs on three hits in 1.2 innings of work.

Georgia Tech will continue its homestand against Long Island on Tuesday, Feb. 28 in the first of two midweek matchups at Mac Nease Baseball Park. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.
