Baseball Announces Fall Schedule

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech baseball will host South Carolina and Chattahoochee Valley Community College in a pair of fall exhibition games, head coach Danny Hall announced Wednesday.

The Yellow Jackets will host the Gamecocks on October 6 and the Pirates on October 27. Both baseball games are scheduled for Saturday afternoons at 1 p.m. at Russ Chandler Stadium.

“We are excited that we get an opportunity to play in the fall this year. We’ve always just played intrasquad games and I know our guys get tired of playing against each other,” commented Coach Hall. “With the NCAA now allowing us to play two exhibition games in the fall, we’ll get a chance to see how our guys will react here in the fall to playing against outside competition. I think it gives us a chance to evaluate our team against outside competition, doesn’t affect our spring schedule or players’ eligibility and is something we are looking forward to getting a chance to do.”

In addition, Tech will play its annual White vs. Gold World Series during the week of October 29 – November 2.

The complete 2019 schedule will be released later this year.
