>> Georgia Tech hosts Georgia Southern Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Russ Chandler Stadium looking to sweep the two-game the season series from the Eagles. The game ends Tech’s eight-game homestand and is live on ESPN3.

>> The Yellow Jackets claimed a come-from-behind 7-4 victory over the Eagles in Statesboro on Feb. 17 and are looking to sweep Georgia Southern for the first time since 2010. Tech owns a 95-31 advantage in the series that dates back to 1947 and is 52-16 versus the Eagles in Atlanta.

>> Sophomore lefty Ben Parr is expected to make his third start of the season on Tuesday. He was strong in a pair of outings versus Georgia Southern last season, including a six-inning gem (seven hits, one run, one walk, nine strikeouts) as Tech won 13-2 in Atlanta.. In six midweek starts last year, Parr was 4-1 with a 1.60 ERA.

>> As a team, Tech is second in the ACC in average (.299) and slugging (.451), is third in runs (113), doubles (36) and home runs (13), and is fourth in most walks (72). Tech is averaging 7.5 runs/game and 0.87 homers/game. At this time last year, Tech was 8-7 with a .276 average, a .391 slugging percentage, averaging 5.1 runs/game, and 0.33 HR/game.

>> Tech went 3-1 last week and opened ACC play with a series win over Notre Dame, which entered the series ranked 25th by Collegiate Baseball. The Jackets have won 16 of 22 ACC-opening series under head coach Danny Hall.

>> Tech is outscoring the opposition 28-7 over the final two innings plus extra innings this season (16-3 in the eighth, 11-3 in the ninth and 1-1 in extras). The Jackets have already won twice via walk-offs after having just two walk-off wins last season.

>> Freshman RF Kel Johnson brings a six-game hitting streak into the week. Johnson, who played a key role in Tech’s win in Statesboro with a seventh-inning grand slam that turned a 4-1 deficit into a 5-4 lead, hit a team-best .471 (8-for-17 last week. He is 12th in the ACC in average (.371), fourth in doubles (seven), fourth in hits (23), sixth in RBI (18) and third in slugging (.758). He opened his career with a seven-game hit streak, was held hitless in back-to-back games and is now on his current six-game hitting streak.

>> Sophomore C Arden Pabst has thrown out 82 percent of stolen-base attempts (nine of 11) against him this season, which is the nation’s third-best percentage. He was second in the ACC last season in runners caught stealing (16) and caught-stealing percentage (.410). On Feb. 22, Pabst clubbed a walk-off, three-run home run as Tech rallied to beat Albany.

>> Danny Hall is in his 22nd season as Tech’s head coach (28th overall), and his last four seasons on the Flats have resulted in two ACC tournament titles (2012, 2014) and an ACC regular-season crown (2011). Hall is a two-time ACC Coach of the Year and is among the 15 winningest active coaches in college baseball with 1,110 wins. He won his 900th career game at Georgia Tech on March 3 versus Ohio.
