ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team will play the third of five straight home matches on Sunday when it hosts regional rival Furman in a match that will get under way at 1:30 p.m. at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.
The Yellow Jackets (11-8, 4-3 ACC) will be looking for a third-straight win at home, while the Paladins (8-11) will seek an eighth-straight victory.
Tech’s last two victories have come against a pair of conference foes in Virginia and Clemson, both of which were 6-1 decisions in favor of the Jackets. The Yellow Jackets have won the doubles point in each of its last four matches, posting a 3-1 record in that span.
The play of Tech’s top two doubles teams has been a key for the Jackets as juniors Roger Anderson and David Wright have been solid at the No. 1 spot, while sophomores West Nott and Scott Schnugg have been the team’s most consistent duo, competing primarily in the No. 2 spot in the lineup.
Following the match with Furman, the Jackets will conclude play in the ACC with a match-up against Florida State on Friday, April 12 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.
