Wright Brothers Advance at Men's Tennis South Carolina Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Oct. 23) – Georgia Tech’s brother tandem of Robert and David Wright advanced to the semifinals in the A2 doubles flight with a pair of wins Saturday at the South Carolina Fall Invitational men’s tennis tournament at the Columbia Tennis Center in Columbia, S.C.

The Wrights opened the day with a second-round win against Baraos and Nascimento of Hampton, 8-3, then defeated Clark and Scheidat of Georgia Southern, 8-4.

David Wright, a redshirt freshman, also won twice in singles to advance to the semis of the A1 consolation bracket. He defeated Jason Moon of American, 6-4, 6-4 in the first round and Adam Greiner of UNC Wilmington, 6-1, 6-3, in the second.

The South Carolina Fall Invitational concludes on Sunday.
