DURHAM, N.C. – Georgia Tech women’s tennis opens April on the road with a pair of ranked matches at No. 24 Duke and No. 5 North Carolina beginning Friday, April 3.

The Yellow Jackets (10-9, 4-4 ACC) roll into the weekend after grinding out a 4-2 victory over Florida State, wrapping up the 2026 spring home slate Sunday. Senior Alejandra Cruz made the most of her Senior Day, grabbing a court one doubles victory with Seri Nayuki and a singles win – her 11th of the spring. Cruz and Nayuki enter the weekend as the 77th-ranked duo by the ITA. Given Roach is on a three-match win streak in singles competition, helping the junior to a 3-1 dual record in ACC play. With Eleni Karantali, the duo is 12-6 this season.

Tech has won three of its last four and six of its last nine matches entering Friday.

The Blue Devils (12-6, 6-2 ACC) enter the weekend with a 9-1 mark on home court, the lone loss being to UNC Wednesday. Duke has lost just two conference matches this season and lead the all-time series over the Jackets, 40-14. Tech will go for its first road win at Duke since March 29, 2015.

The Tar Heels (19-2, 7-1 ACC) boast a 13-0 record at home this spring and also has a lone ACC defeat at the hands of the Cavaliers. North Carolina leads the all-time series, 43-12, as the Jackets look to grab their first win over the Tar Heels since March 24, 2018. UNC is set to face Clemson Friday before taking on the Jackets on Easter Sunday.
