July 27, 2010

ATLANTA – Season tickets for the 2010-11 Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball season are now on sale and available for purchase. The Yellow Jackets will host 17 home games at Alexander Memorial Coliseum, including back-to-back national champion Connecticut.

“We are very excited about the challenging home schedule we have put in place for 2010-11,” head coach MaChelle Joseph said. “We return 11 letter winners and four starters from a team that won a program-best 23 games last season. This is a great opportunity for our fans and the Atlanta community to see some of the best women’s college basketball in the country. “

Georgia Tech, coming off its fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and its fourth consecutive 20-win season, returns 11 letterwinners including starters Alex Montgomery, Sasha Goodlett, Deja Foster and Mo Bennett.

The Yellow Jackets will play one of the most competitive home schedules in program history with out-of-conference games against UConn (Nov. 21), Northwestern of the Big Ten (Dec. 1) and in-state rival Georgia (Dec. 5). Tech will also play seven Atlantic Coast Conference home games, includes North Carolina, Maryland and Virginia.

Adults may purchase season tickets for $65, while tickets for youths 21 and under and seniors 55 and older are only $45. Fans may also purchase a Georgia Tech Fan Pack for $175, which includes four season tickets. Tech home games offer affordable fun for fans of all ages.

Season-ticket holder benefits include a special season ticket holder t-shirt, reserved seating at all home games and priority registration for special events throughout the season.

All new season-ticket locations will be assigned after September 1, once the season ticket renewal deadline has passed.
