Wednesday's Baseball Game vs. Tennessee Cancelled Due to Rain

May 6, 2009

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s baseball game against Tennessee, which was scheduled to be played at AT&T Park in Chattanooga, Tenn., has been cancelled due to rain.

The Chattanooga area has been saturated with rain the last two days, and the weather is not expected to let up this afternoon. It marks the sixth game the Yellow Jackets have had cancelled due to weather this season.

The Yellow Jackets were slated to meet the Volunteers at the minor league ballpark following the Chattanooga Lookouts’ 11 a.m. game against the Jacksonville Suns, but Lookouts officials were forced to cancel both of today’s games.

The game between the Lookouts and Suns will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday evening, with the first game beginning at 6:15 p.m. The game between the Yellow Jackets and Volunteers will not be rescheduled.

Tickets for Tech’s game against Tennessee may be exchanged for any Lookouts’ regular season home game during the 2009 season, subject to availability. For ticket information, contact the Lookouts’ ticket office at 423.267.4849.
