Vukadinovich Tabbed Alliance Fastpitch 2022 All-Star

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball signee Paige Vukadinovich has been named to the second annual Alliance Fastpitch All-Star Game, composed of the top 40 athletes in the class of 2022, as announced by the Alliance Fastpitch. Selections were made by the organization’s national committee, led by Derek Allister and OnDeck Softball.

Vukadinovich becomes a part of a 2022 All-Star class featuring athletes from across the country that are signed to continue their careers at high-level DI college softball programs. As a member of the American Team, Vukadinovich will square off against the National Team in the all-star game on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Kokomo Municipal Stadium in Kokomo, Ind. The seven-inning game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

This season marks the second straight year an incoming Yellow Jacket has competed in the all-star game as in 2021, rising sophomore outfielder Ella Edgmon played for the National Team, who went on to defeat the American Team, 10-9. Edgmon went on to become Tech’s starting center fielder throughout her freshman campaign on The Flats. Last summer’s game was viewed on ESPNU by over 43,000 people with 3,000+ fans in attendance at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

A native of Munster, Ind., Vukadinovich enters the all-star game after becoming a four-year letter winner in center field for Munster High School. The future Yellow Jacket was ranked the No. 25 prospect and No. 10 outfielder in the nation according to Extra Inning Softball after aiding the Mustangs to a pair of conference championships. Individually, Vukadinovich has garnered multiple honors at the high-school level as she’s been named First Team All-Conference twice, First Team All-Area and Second Team All-Area. The lauded recruit currently owns multiple school records for the Mustangs, placing third in school history in a single season in batting average (.479), hits (45) and RBI (36). She set the school record for triples in a season (six) and tied it the following season while also breaking the program record for single season hits (52) and batting average (.520).
