GREENSBORO, N.C. — Georgia Tech softball senior Karly Fullem and junior Morgan Taylor were named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team, the ACC announced Tuesday.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
It marks the third appearance on the All-ACC Academic team for Fullem. She graduated in May 2015 with a degree in business administration, and throughout last season she maintained a 3.67 GPA. She started every game at first base and hit .241 with 13 runs on 35 hits, including seven doubles and six home runs for a team-best 31 RBI.
The recognition is the first for Taylor, who earned a 4.00 GPA through last fall and the spring season in her major of business administration. As a junior, she hit .216 with 11 hits, three doubles and a triple in 32 games played with 12 starts.
