GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Kaleigh Colson and junior Courtney Felinski of the Georgia Tech volleyball team were named to the ACC All-Academic team as announced by the league Thursday.
Colson was selected to the team for the third time in her career, and Felinski earned the honor for the first time.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Colson maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout the season with an overall GPA of 3.67 in business administration. The senior setter had five double-doubles on the season and tallied 34 service aces. She had the fourth best average of aces per set in the ACC (.34 aces/set).
Felinski owned a GPA of 3.75 during her junior year. The science, technology and culture major has an overall GPA of 3.64.
On the court, Felinski collected a season-best 156 kills and 11 service aces. She surpassed several career marks, including a career-high 15 kills, 48 attacks and a service ace against Maryland, and a personal-best hitting percentage of.435 against Jacksonville State.
