Three Jackets Earn All-ACC Honors At ACC Championships

CLEMSON, S.C. – Juniors Brandon Lasater, Broderick Snoddy and Nikita Kirillov earned All-ACC honors on the final day Saturday of the Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Championships at Clemson’s Rock Norman Track Complex.

The men finished tied for seventh with 44 points, the most points the men have scored since 2010. The women placed 13th with 12.5 team points. Florida State became just the fifth program to sweep both the men’s and women’s ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Lasater won gold and first team All-ACC honors in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.38 for 10 team points. Teammate Zack Fanelty crossed the line in fifth (1:51.98), adding four points to Tech’s team total.

Snoddy placed third in the men’s 60 meters with a time of 6.77 to earn third team All-ACC honors and give Tech six team points. His fifth-place performance in the 200-meter finals with a time of 21.46 gave Tech four points.

Kirillov placed third in the pole vault with a height of 5.35m (17-06.50) to earn All-ACC third team honors and six points.

Jeremy Greenwald ran the mile final in a time of 4:12.05 to five Tech four additional team points.

The men’s 4×400-meter relay team of Alexander Reese, Zack Fanelty, Julian Darden and Nat Estes took seventh in a time of 3:20.77 for two Tech points.

On the women’s side Saturday, Samantha Becker tied for seventh in the pole vault to earn Tech 1.5 team points with a vault of 3.95m (12-11.50).
