Thirty-Nine Track and Field Athletes Make Dean's List

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams had a total of 39 student-athletes make the Dean’s List for the fall semester, announced men’s head coach Grover Hinsdale and women’s head coach Alan Drosky. Six of those student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

On the men’s team, freshmen Tim Guglielmo (Undecided in College of Engineering), Matt Hickey (mechanical engineering), Billy Mateker (mechanical engineering) and Jay Oatts (polytechnical & fiber engineering) all posted a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. for the semester.

Earning a 4.0 on the women’s team was junior Elena Linn (International affairs) and freshman Carola Conces (applied mathematics).

Making the Dean’s List with 3.0 GPA was freshman Kevin Arends (mechanical engineering), sophomore Matt DiDia (management), sophomore E.C. Gibbs (management), senior Josh Hammel (biomedical engineering), senior David Herren (Biology), sophomore Greg Johnson (mechanical engineering), freshman Alphonso Jordan (architecture), junior Masato Kan (mechanical engineering), senior James Lemons (management), sophomore Steve Marcelle (management), senior Taylor Narewski (public policy), senior Paul Specht (aerospace engineering), Morgan Stephenson (Undecided in College of Engineering) and sophomore James Taylor (mechanical engineering).

For the women, sophomore Galina Becker (management), senior Mary Chind (science, technology & culture), sophomore Alana Clooten (biomedical engineering), junior Raenard Dillard (management), junior Maria Hampton (science, technology & culture), sophomore Kimery Hern (management), sophomore Ashley Keck (management), senior Ashlee Kidd (management), sophomore Veronica Kinard (applied mathematics), junior Nisha Kurian (chemical engineering), junior Antoinetta McKay (management), freshman Samantha Musil (undecided major), freshman Lindsay Pickens (biomedical engineering), senior Jenny Sims (management), senior Lindsay Vincent (management), senior Jewel Welch (science, technology & culture), junior Emily Yandle (chemical & biomedical engineering) and sophomore Katina Zuganelis (management).
