THE FLATS – #TheBuzz, a Georgia Tech women’s basketball social media series, goes behind the scenes each week to get to know one of the Yellow Jackets. The series kicked off this week with senior Sydney Wallace.
Wallace, a senior point guard from Johns Creek, Ga., is one of the top returners from the 2013-14 that finished the season 20-12. Wallace averaged 9.8 points per game and made 49 3-pointers. She started 28 games as a junior and had a 38.3 shooting percent. Wallace averaged 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Wallace has 831 career points, putting her 169 points away from becoming the 27th Jacket to score 1,000 career points. This past season she moved into sixth on the all-time career 3-pointers made list with 142.
Wallace and the Yellow Jackets host Flagler in an exhibition game on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at McCamish Pavilion. Season tickets can be purchased online, by calling the 888-TECH-TIX or by visiting the ticket office at 150 Bobby Dodd Way.
