ATLANTA–The Georgia Tech Athletic Association has launched a new desktop application in conjunction with Tech’s e-newsletter, The Sting.
The Sting desktop application is a free service that allows Yellow Jacket fans to receive instant information, including scores, statistics and news releases, as well as special ticket offers that are not available to the general public.
The information is delivered with a desktop alert, so that users can view right then, or wait until later.
Once the application is loaded, users can customize to select their favorite Yellow Jacket sports, or they can simply receive all Georgia Tech athletics news as it happens.
For a free download of The Sting desktop application, Click here. Or visit Tech’s official athletics website, www.RamblinWreck.com and click on “Register for The Sting” on the lower right.
Technical requirements are below. For technical assistance, questions or comments, users can email goldlinefeedback@at.gtaa.gatech.edu.
The GTAA originally launched its e-newsletter in 2003, and The Sting is e-mailed weekly to approximately 30,000 alumni, fans and friends of Georgia Tech. Now, Georgia Tech is among the first university athletics departments to launch a direct-to-desktop initiative.
