CLEMSON, S.C. – Georgia Tech hits the road to battle its second top-10 opponent this season when the Yellow Jackets face sixth-ranked Clemson on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series 51-27-2 and have won five of the eight meetings under head coach Paul Johnson.
The game is live on ABC/ESPN2, and can be heard on the Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network, locally on 680 The Fan and 93.7 FM, as well as the Georgia Tech Gameday App.
Tech is tied for fifth nationally in Red Zone touchdown percentage (83.3%) and the Jackets’ 20 touchdowns in the Red Zone are fourth-most in the FBS behind Memphis (23), TCU (22) and NC State (21).
Through five games, Georgia Tech remains the least penalized team in the nation. The Yellow Jackets have been yellow flagged just 11 times for 98 yards — both FBS lows.

The Jackets are sixth in the FBS in rushing offense (311.80).
43 percent of Tech’s touchdowns (12 of 28) have been scored in two minutes or faster — the eighth-best percentage in the Power 5.
The injury bug has hit hard, especially on offense. Tech has lost 21 games to injury of offensive starters or projected starters, and a total of 30 games lost to offensive players on the two-deep.
Tech has thrown for a touchdown pass in 13 consecutive games, a streak that began Oct, 18, 2014, at North Carolina. According toESPN.com, it’s the fourth-longest active streak in the ACC.
Junior QB Justin Thomas has a TD pass in nine consecutive games.
Saturday’s game at Clemson marks the 100th for Paul Johnson as Georgia Tech’s head coach. Johnson has won 60 games in his time, been named ACC Coach of the Year three times and played in three ACC title games.
Since the start of 2014, Georgia Tech has scored 184 points off turnovers and owns a +115 points-off-turnover margin (184-69). This year, Tech is +29 in points-off-turnover scoring.
Senior DB Chris Milton is the FBS’s active career leader with seven blocked kicks. Georgia Tech has blocked 13 kicks since 2013 — the most in the FBS. Two of Milton’s seven career blocked kicks have come this season.
Georgia Tech and Clemson will meet for the 81st time in school history and for the 19th time in Death Valley.
Georgia Tech leads the all-time series 51-27-2 but the Tigers own a 12-6 advantage in Death Valley.
The Yellow Jackets have won six of the past nine meetings, including a 28-6 win against the No. 19 Tigers on the Flats last season in which the Jackets used two Pick-6’s to pick up its fifth-straight home victory over Clemson.
