Tech’s Comeback Falls Short at UNC

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Georgia Tech softball (20-12, 3-4 ACC) dropped the series opener to North Carolina (16-10, 6-1 ACC) 4-1 on Friday night in Chapel Hill.

Leading off for the Yellow Jackets, NCAA and ACC hit leader Breanna Roper singled to center field, recording her 47th hit of the season. Roper went 3-for-3 on the day with three singles.

The Jackets continue the series against the Tar Heels on Saturday, March 23 with a 1 p.m. first pitch on ACC Network Extra.
