THE FLATS – Georgia Tech indoor track and field will split its team this weekend with competitions scheduled at the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, S.C, Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tenn. and the BU Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass. All three meets begin on Friday. Feb. 9 and will continue Saturday, Feb. 10.
The Jackets return to action after some impressive performances at the Bob Pollock Invitational two weekends ago in Clemson, S.C. Shanty Papakosta (second place- women’s high jump), Gracie Marston (third place-women’s 800 m), Mary Brady (fourth place–women’s 3000-meter) and John Watkins (third place- men’s triple jump) were among the top performers for the Jackets.
The Music City Challenge will begin with the men’s weight throw at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. The women’s squad features several performers including Katy Earwood, Erin Fegans, Abigail Green, and Katherine Jortberg. The men’s squad features several top performers including Chris Cherono, Devin Wade, Jean-Lou Pare, and Leif Andersen. Live streaming will be available and can be found here.
The BU Valentine Invitational will begin with the women’s long jump at 11 a.m. on Friday. The women’s squad features several performers including Sophie Boice, Kayla Rose, and Helena Lindsay. The men’s squad features several top performers including Alex Arrambide, John Higinbotham, Zach Jaeger, and Nick Nyman. Live streaming will be available and can be found here.
Tiger Paw Invitational will begin with the women’s long jump at 2 p.m. on Friday. The women’s squad features several performers including Jill Catton, Chloe Davis, Camille Trotman, and Lydia Troupe. The men’s squad features several top performers including Winston DeCuir III, Jameson Miller, Alex Thomas, and Omar Arnaout. Stand out freshman receiver Eric Singleton Jr. will make his collegiate track debut. Live streaming will be available and can be found here.
