THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swim and dive has placed 25 athletes on the All-ACC Swim & Dive Academic team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. 16 women earned a spot on the women’s list and nine Jackets were named to the men’s team.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Swim & Dive Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must have competed in the ACC Indoor Championships and/or NCAA Championships during the most recent season.
The women’s list features two-time honorees Anna Bradescu, McKenzie Campbell and Brooke Switzer.
Bradescu was also named as a member of the Academic All-American Third Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Along with the junior diver, five other Jackets who earned All-ACC Academic Team honors were named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Those athletes include Justin Alderson, Claudia Butterfield, Campbell, Antonio Romero and Carmen Woodruff.
