THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball (8-8) will be one of three host sites for the I-75 Tournament, featuring the White and Gold, UNI (6-6), Southern Miss (12-2), Brown (1-4), Kennesaw State (5-10) and Georgia State (7-11). Tech will take on UNI, Southern Miss and Brown on The Flats over the weekend, opening with a doubleheader against the Panthers beginning Friday at 5 p.m. at Mewborn Field.

Promotions
Friday’s game will represent All Staff Appreciation Day, featuring a sphere bottle giveaway. Saturday will be Junior Jacket Day, including a lunchbox giveaway and pregame face painting. On Sunday, Georgia Tech flags will be given out for Alumni Day. There will also be an alumni tailgate, and an alum will throw out the first pitch.
Storylines
- Coach Aileen Morales recently earned her 250th career victory as a head coach.
- Defense has gone hand in hand with work from the circle this season as the Jackets are third in the ACC and 20th in the NCAA in fielding percentage (.981).
- Other top five marks as a unit for the Yellow Jackets include fourth in the conference and 29th in the nation in triples per game (.38) while also placing fifth in the league in stolen bases per game (1.69).
- Tech’s staunch plate discipline has resulted in 58 walks, ranking fourth in the ACC and 27th in the NCAA.
- Senior hurler Blake Neleman (2-3) recently moved into fifth in program history in career strikeouts in the season-opening Buzz Classic, now owning 462 over her decorated career.
- Neleman is third in the ACC in while landing 23rd in the NCAA with 54 punchouts.
- Sophomore righty Kinsey Norton has been effective in both of her save situations this season, cashing in on both opportunities to tie for the conference lead and rank 10th in the country.
- Each owning a pair of triples this season, senior utility player Emma Kauf and freshman outfielder Paige Vukadinovich are both tied for second in the league and top 20 in the nation in the category.
Series Notes
- Georgia Tech won its only contest against Northern Iowa, 7-0, at a neutral site in Tucson, Ariz., on March 6, 2004.
- The White and Gold trail Southern Miss 4-2 in the all-time series. Tech took the last two matchups, claiming both contests of a doubleheader, 4-0 and 7-1, on The Flats on April 18, 2013. The Yellow Jackets are 2-2 at home in the series.
- Tech fell to Brown in the only previous matchup of the two, 5-3, on The Flats on March 29, 2000.

Standing room only tickets will be sold for $2 each if all other sections are sold out. Georgia Tech students and faculty/staff can receive free admission to regular season home games while seats remain available by showing a valid BuzzCard at the entrance.
