THE FLATS – For the 12th consecutive year, rivals Georgia Tech and Georgia will collide at Turner Field in downtown Atlanta on May 13 for the Kauffman Tire Spring Baseball Classic for Kids. All proceeds benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

About this Atlanta Charity Sporting Event
The 12th annual Kauffman Tire Spring Classic for Kids is one of Children’s largest fundraising events featuring two of college baseball’s top programs and state rivals. More than 20,000 tickets are sold annually to this game at Turner Field making it one of the nation’s largest college baseball games each year. Proceeds from the event benefit the pediatric research of the Children’s Neurosciences Program.
Other Facts
This year’s contest represents the rubber-game of the season series between Tech and Georgia as the Bulldogs won 1-0 in Athens on March 4 and the Yellow Jackets won 4-1 in Atlanta on April 15… Georgia will be the home team for the 2014 game… Dave Neal and Larry Conley will call the game on Fox Sports South… The record attendance for the Kauffman Tire Spring Baseball Classic for Kids is 28,836, set May 11, 2004 (a 12-5 Tech win).
