ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s home baseball game against Georgia has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
The third-ranked Yellow Jackets were supposed to meet Georgia’s No. 1-ranked baseball team Wednesday at 7 p.m., but storms entering the state of Georgia are expected to sweep through the Atlanta area later this evening, thus prompting the two coaches to cancel.
Every effort will be made to reschedule the game, but no make-up date has been set at this time. If and when a make-up date is set, it will first be announced on Ramblinwreck.com.
Fans with tickets to tonight’s rained out Georgia Tech-Georgia baseball game should hold on to them. Those tickets will good for any future Georgia Tech baseball game in which seats are available or can be used in the event that tonight’s game can be rescheduled.
Tonight’s game was scheduled to be televised by Comcast Sports Southeast. CSS will re-play the 2008 Tech-UGA football game in its place.
Georgia Tech will now turn its attention to Miami, who is ranked No. 2 in the latest NCBWA poll. The Yellow Jackets and Hurricanes will meet at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday before concluding the series Sunday at 1 p.m.
