Tech Concludes Day One at Bob Pollock Invite

CLEMSON, S.C. – Georgia Tech indoor track and field finished up an impressive first day of the Bob Pollock Invitational at the Clemson University Indoor Complex.

The Yellow Jackets continue on Saturday, Jan. 27 for the conclusion of the meet.

Women’s Highlights

Georgia Tech continues its dominance in the 60m hurdles. Running unattached, Kenya Collins won the finals with a time of 8.24 while Raven Stewart finished fourth (8.37) after she finished first in the prelims with a 8.31 finish. Marinice Bauman also finished seventh in the hurdles (8.80) to give Tech three finalists.

Junior Anna Hightower finished ninth in the pole vault, recording a mark of 3.85. Also in the field competitions, Dasia Smith finished 10th with a 5.53-meter performance in the long jump.

Men’s Highlights

William Solomon led the way for Tech with a third-place finish in the long jump, turning in a 7.38-meter mark. Andreas Ward finished 10th in the prelim 60m hurdles (8.18).
