Feb. 9, 2012
ATLANTA – Georgia Tech has announced a comprehensive television and radio package for the 2012 season, which includes six regular-season television broadcasts on the ESPN Networks, eight on CSS and all 56 regular-season games on WREK radio.
In addition to the 15 television games – tying the most for Tech in a single regular-season (2003) – every non-TV home game will be live streamed on RamblinWreck.com.
“This is tremendous exposure regionally and nationally for our program,” said head coach Danny Hall. “The ACC’s television package is second-to-none and we’re excited to be a big part of the CSS college baseball coverage.”
The ninth-ranked Yellow Jackets will appear six times on the Atlantic Coast Conference’s television package — one nationally-televised game on ESPNU at North Carolina (Sunday, April 22), two regionally-broadcasted games on RSN and three appearances on ESPN3. Both RSN games can also be seen live on ESPN3. The conference’s television package also includes every game of the 2012 ACC Championship.
CSS will carry eight Yellow Jacket games (seven home games), including all three games of the Miami series and the Georgia home (may 9) and away (March 20) matchups.
The Kauffman Tire Spring Baseball Classic for Kids, between Tech and Georgia at Turner Field on April 24, will be carried live by either Fox Sports South or SportSouth.
Additional television games could be added.
WREK Radio’s partnership as the flagship station of Yellow Jacket baseball continues in 2012 with all 56 regular-season games broadcast live on 91.1 FM in Atlanta and at RamblinWreck.com.
