Tech Baseball Scout Day Set for Oct. 8

Sept. 24, 2007

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech baseball’s Scout Day has been scheduled for Monday, Oct. 8, head coach Danny Hall announced Monday.

Scout day is scheduled to begin at 12 noon at Russ Chandler Stadium with various offensive and defensive drills, to be followed by a short intrasquad game.

The Yellow Jackets welcome 11 newcomers to the 2008 squad which returns the bulk of its pitching staff as well as six starters in the field. Pitchers David Duncan, Eddie Burns, Brad Rulon and Chris Hicks headline the returning arms on the mound, while Brad Feltes, Chris House and Luke Murton are joined by second-year starters Patrick Long, Jeff Ussery and Tony Plagman in the field.

Hall is still looking to fill spots that were vacated when 10 members of the 2007 team were drafted in the MLB Draft this summer.
