Tech Advances in Main Draw Doubles at ITA Regionals

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis ended day one of competition at the ITA Southeast Regionals with two doubles pairings advancing to the second round of play.

In the first round of main draw doubles, Elias Shokry and Marcus McDaniel defeated Florida Gulf Coast’s Eric Oncins and Randy Wilson, 8-6. Tech earned another victory against a doubles pairing from FGCU when Keshav Chopra and Robert Bauer took down Guglielmo Stefanacci and Marcel Sepulveda in a hard fought 8-7 [4] win. Shokry/McDaniel and Chopra/Bauer will continue their regionals run on Friday, with start times and court locations to be announced.
