TEAM Buzz 2005 Photo Gallery

Oct. 13, 2005

Over 60 Georgia Tech student-athletes participated in TEAM Buzz this past Saturday as part of the Institute’s annual community service day. The students worked at the English Avenue Community Center in southwest Atlanta by painting, doing yard work, and participating in a general cleanup and maintenance effort. The purpose of the center is to assist in stabilizing low-income English Avenue residents of all ages seeking various supportive services available in the public and private sector. The resoure center supplies needed social services by referring area residents to employment, healthcare, rent/utility, food and clothing, shelter, alcohol/substance abuse, and many other programs. It also provides free telephone, copy/fax service, and a fully equipped computer lab with internet access. TEAM Buzz is currently in its ninth year of operation and has allowed students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in numerous philanthropic events since its inception in 1997.
