Tate Named Academic All-District

ATLANTA– – Georgia Tech women’s basketball standout Regina Tate has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District III second team.

Tate, a senior from Columbus, Ga., maintains a 3.43 grade point average while majoring in mechanical engineering. She is the Yellow Jackets’ second leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 12.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

Tech (14-12, 7-9 ACC) concludes the regular season by hosting a non-conference game against Morris Brown Saturday at 4 p.m. at Alexander Memorial Coliseum at McDonald’s Center. –30–
