May 26, 2015

THE FLATS — Members of the Georgia Tech women’s basketball team visited local schools in the Metro Atlanta area this past week to congratulate the winners of the women’s basketball Jacket 2 Jacket reading program.

Jacket 2 Jackets is an initiative sponsored by the Georgia Tech women’s basketball team to promote and encourage children to learn through reading. This year’s competition ran from October 6th — November 6th, 2014. The Yellow Jackets recently visited Browns Hill Elementary, Hollydale Elementary School and Inman Middle School to congratulate some of this year’s winners.

During this year’s past competition, schools read more than 1,217,500 pages. Check out some of the pictures below of the Yellow Jackets’ class room visits.
