TEAM NOTES
• Georgia Tech wore blue uniforms for the first time this season against Northwestern. Tech was 3-5 wearing blue uniforms last season and is 5-9 when doing so under Brian Gregory.
• Georgia Tech evened its record against former Coach Krzyzewski assistant coaches at 1-1 (lost to Marquette).
• Georgia Tech led Northwestern, 31-18 at the half and is 5-1 this season when holding a halftime lead, 38-17 under Brian Gregory.
• Georgia Tech opened the game on a 20-2 run, forcing Northwestern to call two timeouts. The Wildcats closed that gap to one (57-56) with 1:17 left in the game.
• Georgia Tech is now 5-1 this season in games decided by 10 points or fewer, and is 25-25 in such games under Brian Gregory.
• Georgia Tech and Northwestern finished the game tied on the board, 35-35, the first time this year Tech has not out-rebounded its opponent. The Jackets are 46-26 under Brian Gregory when Tech has more rebounds or the rebounds are even.
• Tech won for the fourth time this season when scoring less than 70 points, and is 23-42 under Gregory when doing so.
• Tech held an opponent under 70 points for the fifth time this season and is 5-0 in those games. Tech is 41-26 under Brian Gregory when the opponent has scored fewer than 70 points.
• Tech is 42-5 when leading at the 5-minute mark of the second half under Brian Gregory, 6-0 this season.
• Tech utilized 11 players against Northwestern, and nine of them scored. Brian Gregory has used at least nine players in every game this season, at least 10 in six games.
• Tech went 10-of-14 from the free throw line in the second half (71.4 pct.) and 14-of-18 for the game (77.8 pct.). The Jackets have converted 72.5 pct. of their free throws in the last three games (21-of-31 vs. Rhode Island, 15-of-20 vs. Rider).
• Tech is attempting 22.7 free throws per game this season, a high in four seasons under Brian Gregory (three more than the 2013-14 season), and is scoring 14.3 points per game from the charity stripe, also a high under Gregory.

• Tech’s 11 turnovers were a season low, and the Jackets had more assists (15) than turnovers for the first time since IPFW on Nov. 21.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Josh Heath (12 points) and Robert Sampson (11) became the first Tech players to reach double digits off the bench this season.
• Tech point guards Travis Jorgenson (5 assists, 1 turnover) and Josh Heath (5 assists, no turnovers) combined for 10 assists and one turnover. For the season they have a combined 3-to-1 assist/turnover ratio.
• Jorgenson made his fifth start of the season at point guard. He moved back into the lineup against Marquette after missing the Alabama A&M game with soreness in his surgically repaired knee and coming off the bench against IPFW.
• Heath logged his third zero-turnover game of the season and has 34 assists to just seven turnovers, nearly 5-to-1.
• Along with that Heath went 6-for-6 from the floor and posted the first double-digit scoring game of his collegiate career (12 points).
• Robert Sampson notched his first double-digit scoring game at Georgia Tech with 11 points (4-5 FG, only miss was a dunk). It was the 24th double-digit game of his career. He also had seven rebounds, and has grabbed six rebounds or more in six games.
• Tech’s three primary bigs (Cox, Mitchell, Sampson) combined for 30 points.
• Charles Mitchell notched his 19th career double-digit scoring game and fourth this season for Tech with 13 points.
• Chris Bolden notched season-highs of nine points, including 5-for-6 from the foul line in the final 30 seconds of the game, and four rebounds.
• Tonight was the first time since the Georgia game on Nov. 14 that Jorgenson played more minutes (21) than Heath (19).
