Softball Rained Out At Chattanooga, Games Rescheduled for April 17

ATLANTA (March 29) – The Georgia Tech softball team’s doubleheader at Tennessee-Chattanooga scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on March 29 was cancelled due to the rain that soaked the southeast overnight and throughout the morning. The games will be played at the same time on April 17 in Chattanooga.

The Yellow Jackets (18-13) will be looking to continue their modest two-game win streak on Saturday, March 31, when they open their 2001 Atlantic Coast Conference slate by hosting defending ACC Champion and 16th-ranked Florida State at Glenn Field in a doubleheader. Tech swept the Seminoles a year ago in a doubleheader held in Tallahassee, and was the only team to defeat FSU in conference play in 2000.

Saturday’s doubleheader will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the first 100 fans in attendance receiving free pizza courtesy of Papa John’s.
