Softball Lands South Carolina Transfer Condon

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball and coach Aileen Morales announced the signing of South Carolina transfer infielder Brionna Condon to the roster on Thursday.

A native of Woodstock, Ga., Condon returns to her home state with SEC experience in her first collegiate season. The incoming Yellow Jacket made four appearances for the Gamecocks, picking up the first hit of her college career in a blowout victory over Tennessee Tech. In the field, the infielder is yet to make an error with a flawless fielding percentage.

Prior to entering the collegiate ranks, Condon competed at the varsity level for four seasons with Etowah High School. As a career .400 hitter for the Eagles, the infielder was named the team MVP in 2021 and defensive MVP in 2019. As a sophomore, Condon earned all-region and all-state honors following an all-county team selection as a freshman. On the travel circuit, she led her team to Premier Girls Fastpitch runner-up finishes twice. Overall, Condon concluded her high school career ranked as the No. 29 player in the country.

Condon becomes the second summer transfer alongside Tiffany Domingue to join Georgia Tech’s 2023 signing class that was ranked 30th by Extra Inning Softball in the fall, with all three incoming freshmen being ranked in the top 50 of the same publication’s 2023 Extra Elite 100. The class provides depth to different levels of the field being composed of one pitcher, one outfielder and three infielders.
