Softball Hosts Big Ten/ACC Challenge

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball hosts the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, Friday-Sunday, Feb. 16-18 at Mewborn Field for its first home games of the 2018 season.

Due to a forecast for inclement weather, the schedule for this weekend’s Big Ten/ACC Softball Challenge at Georgia Tech’s Mewborn Field has changed. The new schedule is as follows:

Friday, Feb 16
10 a.m. – Boston College vs. Nebraska
12:30 p.m. – Boston College vs. Indiana
3 p.m. – Georgia Tech vs. Nebraska
5:30 p.m. – Indiana vs. Georgia Tech

Saturday, Feb. 17
10 a.m. – Indiana vs. Boston College
12:30pm- Nebraska vs. Georgia Tech

Sunday, Feb. 18
10 a.m. – Nebraska vs. Boston College
12:30pm- Georgia Tech vs. Indiana

Admission
Admission for all games in free.

Parking
Parking on Friday and Sunday is available in the McCamish parking lot. Fans for Saturday’s games should park in the Family Housing parking deck.

Follow the action
All of Georgia Tech’s games will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra. Fans can also follow along with live scoring. All the information can be found at the tournament central page .

Opponent information
The Yellow Jackets lead the Huskers 4-2 in the all-time series. The Jackets run-ruled Nebraska in their last two meetings in 2015, 11-2 (5) and 10-5 (5). Nebraska comes in receiving votes in the USA Today poll and ranked No. 22 in the ESPN.com poll with a 5-1 record. The Jackets face the Hoosiers for the eighth time on Saturday. Tech leads the all-time series 4-3. The last win belongs to the Jackets, a 5-1 victory coming in 2014 in Atlanta. Indiana comes into the tournament with an 0-5 record.
