ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s basketball team will hold its annual banquet April 14 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center, and the public is invited to purchase tickets.
Single tickets for the event are $60, and tables of 10 guests can be purchased for $500. These tickets may be purchased in advance by calling Darryl LaBarrie in the Tech basketball office at 404-894-5425.
A reception from 6-7 p.m. kicks off the event, followed by the dinner at 7 p.m. and the awards presentations after that. Tech’s senior players – Will Bynum, B.J. Elder, Anthony McHenry, Isma’il Muhammad and Luke Schenscher – will be honored after finishing their careers with a 79-53 overall record and three post-season appearances in four years.
Tech finished the 2004-05 season with a 20-12 overall record, tied for fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference at 8-8, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Louisville. It was the Yellow Jackets’ second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and third in five seasons under head coach Paul Hewitt.
