Georgia Tech's loss tonight gives the Yellow Jackets...... a record of 7-9 overall and 0-3 in the ACC... a record of 20-59 all-time vs. North Carolina, including a 9-12 mark at AMC... their first loss at home to the Tar Heels since Jan. 2, 2001... a 3-10 mark vs. UNC when the Heels are ranked No. 1... three consecutive losses - their longest losing streak of the season... their first 0-3 start in ACC play since starting the 2001-02 ACC season 0-7 (they finished 7-9)... a 3-4 record at home this season... five losses this season to teams that are in this week's top 25 rankings... an 8-34 all-time record against No. 1-ranked teams including a 4-10 mark at home... an all-time record of 1,196-1,046, including a 185-241 mark in ACC games

Notes … Tech lost despite scoring 80 points for the first time this season … tonight’s game was the first Georgia Tech-UNC game decided by one point since an 83-82 Yellow Jacket win on March 12, 2004 in the ACC Tournament in Greensboro … the Yellow Jackets lost by less than 10 points for the seventh time this season … Tech has lost three ACC games by a combined 13 points … Tech had its second-fewest turnovers of the season (9 vs. Presbyterian)

Starters … Tech used tonight’s starting lineup (Miller, Bell, Morrow, Lawal and Smith) for the second straight game … Jeremis Smith and Anthony Morrow are the only two Yellow Jackets to start every game this season

Anthony Morrow … scored in double figures for a team-high 14th time this season and for the 63rd time in his career … has made at least two three-point field goals in five consecutive games … played in his 107th career game and started for the 54th time

Jeremis Smith … scored in double figures for the seventh time this season and the 35th time in his career … the senior played in his 90th career game and started for the 71st time

Gani Lawal … the freshman scored in double figures for the fifth time; this after going scoreless in each of his two previous games … fouled out for the first time in his career

Matt Causey … his second steal tied a Georgia Tech-career high

Lewis Clinch … has made at least one three-point field goal in every game but one this season

Zack Peacock … scored in double figures for the fifth time this season and the ninth time in his career … scored an ACC career-high (previously 11 points vs. NC State last season) … his seventh rebound tied a career high
