Person Leads Jackets at Indoor NCAA Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior Montrell Person garnered All-America honors with a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter high hurdles to lead the men’s track and field team at the 2005 Indoor NCAA Championships on Friday night.

Person, a native of Merriville, Ind., posted a time of 7.78 in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles to advance to the finals. He clocked a time of 7.85 in the finals to earn his first indoor All-America honors and second overall.

Tech will open up the outdoor season in Alabama on March 19.
