THE FLATS – After closing out a four-match road swing, the No. 6 Georgia Tech women’s tennis team returns to The Flats to host No. 33 Virginia on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
THE SCENE: Georgia Tech, winners of the past 13 matches and ranked No. 6 nationally, begins its final three-match homestand on Sunday hosting the Cavaliers. Tech currently sits in first place in the ACC standings owning a 9-0 league mark to go along with a 19-2 overall ledger on the season. Virginia, which most recently fell at Clemson on Friday, comes into Sunday’s match with a 7-9 overall record and 5-4 mark in league play.

ITA RANKINGS – In the latest ITA rankings released Tuesday, Tech boasts four Jackets ranked nationally in singles: No. 48 Rasheeda McAdoo, No. 76 Paige Hourigan, No. 101 Johnnise Renaud and No. 120 Kenya Jones. Tech has two doubles tandems ranked: No. 19 Johnnise Renaud/Rasheeda McAdoo and No. 79 Paige Hourigan/Kenya Jones. Virginia’s Rosie Johanson ranks 43rd in singles, while teammate Cassie Mercer ranks No. 116. The Cavaliers boast the No. 30 doubles tandem in the country in Chloe Gullickson and Cassie Mercer.
LAST TIME OUT – The Jackets grabbed a pair of matches on the road last weekend, upsetting No. 4 North Carolina and edging No. 29 Wake Forest.
